I seem to recall this staff struggling to recruit the O-line for about 2 years before catching up. It's kinda interesting to see it play out in real time.

I'm guessing that for all schools, excluding a handful of super elite programs, building quality O line depth is the biggest challenge in recruiting. And it then becomes a leading indicator of success when the job is done properly.

I don't think there is a program in the country better for a Hybrid S/LB than the University of Cincinnati under Fickell. Hopefully they can convince him of that.

The level of players UC is targeting for this class right now is really exciting. It will be awesome if they can close on some of those big targets.

I also think it speaks volumes to recruits when you look at our present staff that is composed of former players and a former coach [KC] that want to be a part of and believe in the Cincinnati football program. Add in back to back seasons as the top G5 and conference champions that is also heading to the B12. Not too shabby!

I read a defensive lineman commit quote it was hard to say no to a coach that was wearing 2 Super Bowl championship rings.

Cincinnati now has commitments from the #3, #7, #11, #21, and #22 prospects in the state of Ohio as currently ranked by 247. That's a STRONG ASS start tot he 2023 class!
