That would be household income so 2 people making $25/hour would hit the $100k. I don't know how any one person could live a middle class life style on $50k so a individual on their own probably $75k

Your definition of middle class only includes 33% of American households, and includes up to the 99th percentile. So it isn’t the middle class.

This benefits 97% of American households.

You aren't counting where one lives. I learned long ago that people in my profession living in, say, New York or California, and making a lot more than me (in the Memphis area) did not have as high a standard of living as I did/do. I had a buddy in New York who paid more a month for a 1 bedroom studio apartment than I did for a 3000 sq ft house. *shrug*

Middle class is sort of relative.

Agreed and Charlotte NC is probably more expensive than Memphis plus NC has one of the highest state income taxes in the country.

Oh, we’re well beyond any first step toward eliminating our middle class.

We’re approaching an oligopoly and muddling service/servant class.

My only real question is who wins in the end? The corporate tyrants or The Big Gov plutocracy?

Who has more power to wield? It’s a pretty even fight right about now.
