None of which is suggesting he was great, which I know sends the breathers off the cliff, but he was a solid young coach who struggled to make it further then he did

And back on the bubble by year 5, and solidly out by year 6.
Pastner benefited from being in CUSA. He didn’t beat a good team until his 5th year.

He sure didn't lose to a lot of the slop that Tubby and Penny have lost to, and he won 77.6% of his games during his 4 year tournament run. Penny is at 67.9% his last two seasons.
