My views lean libertarian-conservative, and I resent the hell out of being alleged a racist as a result.

As an example, when I opposed Obamacare because it combined the worst aspect of our then-current system (tying health insurance to employment, a democrat post-WWII contribution) with the worst aspect of socialized systems (replacing the doctor-patient relationship in decision-making with impersonal centralized bureaucracies), I was told that it was a republican idea (it wasn't) and the only reason I opposed it was because Obama was a black man. It did not even matter that I also proposed an alternative (Bismarck) that provided truly universal care (Obamacare doesn't) while maintaining the importance of the doctor-patient relationship.

I don't know how many white supremacists there even are any more, but I suspect the number is quite small. And I'm not one of them. But I reject the idea that I have to hate whitey or else I'm a racist. People who hate whitey (or any other skin color) are the true racists.

I've been reading your posts for over a decade and never got a sense that you were racist or racial, even when you opposed Obama's policies.
