I didn't know that exceptions were made for Archie Manning and Fran Tarkenton

Damm straight he deserves to be in the HOF!!! Saw many of his games and have watch a lot of football over the years, I would be glad to have him as my QB over any other who has played the position over the last 50 years. That includes Brady, Mahomes, etc.....[/u]

He was undefeated in HS, not sure how many games that was. Perhaps Chuck shared that when he was being interviewed.

Everything I have ever read said he only started in HS his junior and senior years, and was 18-0 as a starter. Still amazing, but not 30-0.

WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE???? Archie Manning is an ass clown. I'd like to see a well-thought out marketing push from our athletic department regarding this travesty. Someone made a comment on Twitter that UT should build Ealey a statue, I thought that was an excellent idea.

I don't think a person can make themselves look good by calling the competition "ass-clown" and personality doesn't enter into it. But I feel ya. It does seem Mr. Ealey has a better chance of getting his rightful place by a loophole. Not the way it should be but if it comes, I hope he is accepting of the path.

I don't think tossing comments about a current CFHOF player (or process on how he got in) or marketing push based on that "travesty" are sound approaches to gather support for his case.

BUT building on or leveraging the recent positive publicity from the major media story, social media impact, and especially support from Dungy (who is well respected individual in the football community) is a great opportunity that should be maximized right now.

though it doesn't hurt to mention in a polite way, Ealey > Manning. :D

We do play in South Bend this year. Maybe we could organize an "Induct Chuck" promo? Maybe revive the old campaign from years ago?

or maybe beat the punch and be inducted at half-time! Hoping enough momentum for that special exhemption.

The College Football Hall of Fame moved from South Bend to Atlanta a few years ago. The new CFHOF was also damaged during wokeness last year...

I find it amusing that all these people are tweeting about how Chuck should be inducted, but almost none of them have tagged the College Football Hall of Fame twitter account while doing so, so they probably don't even know this is going on.
