I just started listening to a podcast on mid major basketball with Chris McKee. Before our tilt with Ball State he had us as the 8th or 9th best mid major, counting the A10, MWC and CUSA (which college insider doesnt include). He said MJ was the most underrated player in college basketball.

IMO MJ gives way more to the team than assists and 18points. He is the heartbeat. Pippen may be a better scorer and more of a force/athlete, and LCJ distributes it with the best, but MJ is the glue to a good team which makes us great. I would have no problem with LCJ taking it though. You could make the argument Akron is a bottom 4 team without him. Shooot, they lost to NIU and EMU with him.

LCJ does has the shot creation and the smarts, I don't see the same defense with him I see with MJ. LCJ may get his steals but MJ makes the other team move the ball elsewhere. I pick MJ and I have no bias at all.
