Given the geography---both nations can sign a cooperative defense treaty and a economic free trade zone---and everyone pretty much gets what they want out of their reimagined nations.

So, while I do expect a split---I think it will be amicable and I dont believe it will lead to war or even wide spread bloodshed. lol...by that point, I just think we will be sick enough of each other that we will welcome a split.

It will never happen that easily. The last thing the left wants is an amicable split. They want total domination and all the country, with the rest of us obedient or dead.

Yes this.... the problem is that these actions by ANTIFA... BLM have not been met with a real response. It has mostly been a soft form of damage control by the police and government in those places.

At some point these people are going to see a real response when they are not at at 4-1 advantage and the people responding are not just spraying pepper spray in their eyes and holding them back with riot shields. They are going to start punching back, pinning people to the ground putting them in jail and keeping them there....

Thus far taking the high road has emboldened these people, but we have seen in many small examples, when these people are met with an equal and opposite response - they run with their tail between their legs. They believe it is their right to punch and kick and spit on you, well once the masses return in kind this will be over pretty quickly.

I doubt it. If the population grabbed their ankle and took whatever the government shoved up their collective arses through out this whole COVID disaster, not really sure what it will take to drive it to an armed conflict. If people will allow the government to shut down their businesses and destroy their livelihood with almost no resistance, almost no legal challenges, and almost no civil disobedience, where do they draw the line?
