Nevada bill would allow tech companies to create governments
read the thread name

Quote:The zones would permit companies with large areas of land to form governments carrying the same authority as counties, including the ability to impose taxes, form school districts and courts and provide government services.

Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak has a plan to get more tech companies to his state, and it basically boils down to letting them form their own little governments, which..

Like Blockchains, LLC, who is specifically identified in the proposed legislation. They purchased nearly 67,000 acres of undeveloped, uninhabited land in Storey County for $170 million, back in 2018. They gots themselves some plaaaaans.

Oh, also, completely unrelated... Blockchains, LLC donated a significant sum to the PAC that helped get Sisolak into office.

I owe my soul to the company store.

Nothing could go wrong with giving Google its own police force and court system...

Disney has something like this in Florida

Maybe not this extreme but they have quite a level of autonomy
