As an NCAA member institution they AGREED to the bylaws! Good Grief!

You can't just do whatever you want.

They have no money and the state of Georgia has crafked down and made us all produce $$$ for Athletic projects and improvements. Across the Mid Atlantic and South there may be two or three schools who could and would want to move up. Most either have too small of a student body and school budget and / or no money period.

I like how you ignored the key word in my statement *eventually*. Kennesaw has a massive student body and is growing in academic stature. They will be able to join FBS down the road if they want.

Do you live in Georgia? Nothing against Kennesaw, seriously, but facts are facts. They are a winning program that regularly fills less than half of their 10k seat soccer stadium. It's not an alumni base that is bleeding black and yellow. They are basically where GSU was in 1990. Could some president come in and force the issue? Sure. But he or she would have to have BOR support and more importantly have cash. The days of using student fees and subsidies as a facilities ATM are done in the state of Georgia. Just look at what Coastal has had to spend to become an FBS program. I am not sure that Kennesaw 's stadium is even expandable to 20k. But I am certain they do not have $50M sitting around to actually do said expansion.

Yes, I grew up in Atlanta and my parents now live in Peachtree City. Your entire argument is literally something that could have been said about Georgia State (and some of it is still true). GSU doesn't have a massive alumni base that bleeds blue and white. You didn't have any real infrastructure until stuff was built for the Olympics. You didn't even have football until 10 years ago. I'd argue that Kennesaw is doing just fine for a program that started FCS 5 years ago, and that if they keep winning, they will develop a stronger fan base that will enable them to move to FBS down the road.

So NO you don't live here. So NO you do not know.

We have had zero problem funding facilities upgrades even after the BOR rule came down. As I said , KSU is where GSU was 30 years ago. I would venture to say that other than when they played us I have never seen a KSU sweatshirt.

We were in the top 10 and top 15 in FCS attendance our first two years and we were not exactly winning championships. They are winning and have trouble filling a small stadium. Again nothing against KSU but facts are facts. Since they cannot rely on student fees to fund facilities and athletics they are not going anywhere. Not unless some FBS conference relaxes their standards to mid level FCS standards.

This won't affect the AAC unless those teams start winning against us
