I believe the 2 week window is up for contacting recruits. I have only heard of one hire at assistant coach which brings us to a total of three (including GO). I have heard nothing else of hires or recruiting.

Did you see the paper today? We have a new coach to be named Monday, 12/22/03. Also see where we have a couple recruits. Anyone know where the recurit list would be listed?

I haven't seen this yet, but here's a good place to start to see what kids are interested in UCF. This site is not reporting any commitments yet for UCF. Not surprising, since no one is recruiting...

Thanks Train, I'll check it out. Also I understand that we have two new ciaches, but confirmation as yet. Erik Green of the NFL/coach for Vikings, to coach Tightends and an unamed coach from Standford to coach Def. Line.

Where'd you get this information? All I know is from that Sentinel article that O'Leary was going to announce another coach monday....but monday passed. You get the feeling alot is going on behind the scenes. It kind of sounds odd that an NFL coach would come down to coach collegiate level. I wouldn't complain if he did.

The Sentinel is reporting the following new coaches will be announced today:

South Carolina assistant Dave DeGuglielmo, Buffalo assistant Miles Aldridge, and Stanford assistant Peter McCarty. DeGuglielmo will coach the offensive line, Aldridge the secondary, and McCarty defensive tackles. The Sentinel also reported that O'Leary has picked is offensive and defensive coordinators and will announce them soon as well.

It appears that O'Leary will have his staff on board by year end. Maybe, just a wild guess, as Lou Holtz is shaking up his staff at SC, Skip Holtz might be our new Off. Cor.! Lou has stated that he doesn't know if he'll keep Skip in that job there.
Still no word on Erik Green, which I understand in on board and recruiting. He'll coach the tight ends.
