Arizona should go get him. He might just sit out otherwise.

Auburn damage control

I don't think so. But I expect UAB fans to believe this.

I’m glad you talk to the AD and coach and know what happened. Thanks for clearing it up. I’ll stick with what I know over message board chatter.

All that means is Auburn used the word "IF" as in "If were offer you the position, will you accept the following terms and conditions?"

So first of all, I never claimed that I did talk to the AD and coach. How childish that is of you to even say some crap like that considering you are a Super Administrator. If you don't agree with what I said then so be it. But since you decided to indirectly state that you did talk to the AD and coach then hooray for you AB.

Epic Applause

You and others obviously don't know the difference in being offered a job and being interested in hiring someone. I personally don't care if you talked with the rectums of the AD and coach, it doesn't change my view that Clark wasn't offered the job which has also been reported by several news outlets. There was mutual interest between the two parties but one party wasn't willing to accept the other party's requirements to be offered the position so they went their separate ways.

I've known you for a couple of decades now and I have the utmost respect for you being one of the biggest cheerleaders and supporters of UAB Athletics. You have said things that have totally pissed me da'f**k off as well.

You claim you don't get your information from an internet message board but yet you decide to drop some insider's knowledge on a internet message board. So why should I believe you when you indirectly say you talked with the AD and coach on a message board?

Bye Felicia!

Even if he did talk to the UAB coach and AD....

After Clark supposedly said Auburn was his dream job and he didnt get the job. How do you return to UAB and save face without saying you turned it dow?

The real news would come from the Auburn side. In the link you provided it CLEARLY said the ULL coach turned down the job. What reason would this reporter have to make up things on Clark?

Quote:The most perplexing rumor was UAB head coach Bill Clark turning down a job offer. Auburn officials and Clark had contact over the job, but they never formally interviewed the UAB coach, let alone offered him the job. “To say he pulled out or he was offered the job is just blatantly false,” said one source. When asked about the Auburn situation Wednesday, Clark told WBRC he only had interest if he had “complete control of my staff and all those things that go with it, and I think, maybe, that was a hindrance to them.” Multiple sources vehemently pushed back on the insinuation any prospective coach had to retain current Auburn assistants including Steele.

As for ATTALLABLAZE I believe this is the second time he said Clark turned down a P5 job offer and I believe he also said it about the UAB basketball coach when he was interviewed before he took his current job. When it comes to UAB all he sees is cotton candy, sunshine and rainbows. If you dare to disagree he will use the...

" I’m glad you talk to the AD and coach and know what happened" or some version of that. Like UAB's coach and AD are different from any other....

they all lie or tell half truths. Especially to save face

That he wouldn't be able to choose all his own assistants.

Bingo! And Clark said this himself in a local interview today. He probably also told AttallaBlaze first though.....just sayin'....

I wonder if Harsin accepted those requirements. If so — wow. That’s a hell of a condition to put on a new hire. Basically a PSA that “We don’t trust this guy to put a staff together.”

In Harsin’s case it’s not as big of a deal. He needs to keep some of the old staff for recruiting purposes. He ain’t from around here

You realize that these are contradictory sentences right? You can't "choose to remain somewhere" if you weren't given a choice to leave it.

It's like saying I "chose to remain" at my employer because I showed up to work yesterday.

Of course it is but I'm not the one that said it. People are going to believe what they want to believe. At the end of the day Clark is staying and that's all that matters.

What I have become isn't relevant to this conversation. What I have seen is some Blazer posters show their true colors over the last 4 years. And Blazer posters wonder why so many people have left BlazerTalk. We don't always have to agree but being a Blazer fan doesn't pay my bills and take care of my family.

In other words, if you're getting into your feelings because you don't like my point of view of me for that matter then that's for you to deal with. I'm good and living my best life.

Merry X-Mas y'all!
