It appears the Burg is going to get about a foot of snow tomorrow.

And NOVA will get a lot of cold rain.

I think the forecast has changed a bit over the last couple of hours. Mid-afternoon and into the evening the weather dudes are now saying snow will change to sleet and freezing rain, which TBH I think suggests an even scarier scenario. I personally don't mind snow (driving in it that is), but ice? No thank you. And, the risk of power outages from downed trees and branches goes up with ice. Everybody be safe. Respect Mother Nature.

Accuweather and Weatherbug both predicting 4-6 inches. The plow blade is on and the backup generator is full of gas and ready to keep the lights on.

I brought my air mattress and extra clothes to work today....which means the storm will be a bust. That would be just fine with me......

This is one of the few days that I am glad that I live farther south. Just supposed to be rain for us here in NC.

8 Am here in Sterling VA and nothing so far. Think the amount of snow for here has been scaled back. Hope so as I have cataract surgery scheduled for this morning, really want to get it done.

Finished up at about 1PM and took a nap for a while. All seems well, thanks to all that asked. Looks like we got about 3" of snow here in Sterling and it has now changed over to a cold rain. So hopefully it will wash it all away as I am not supposed to be shoveling snow today!!!

Up here in Broadway we got between 5 and 6 inches. My barn cats are not at all happy about it.
