clt says foster was offered by Alabama and Alabama state. He has to be good,

Western has not had any luck in 4 star QBs being worth a damn..

4 star Kevaris Thomas is transferring after starting 2 games for Western
4 star Damarcus Smith (hardly played at Western) transferred to UNT (2015) where he was a 47% passer

I don't even look at recruiting rankings anymore, it's impossible to tell.

One time, Marshall had a five-star quarterback transfer from Clemson, Willie Korn. He ended up with a bad shoulder, and tried to play safety before he had to call it a career.

He was the number five quarterback prospect in his class.

I will say Xavier Gaines is was a 4 star duel threat QB. He’s been a very productive player for us.

When a 4star transfers down to G5, it usually says he was over rated to start with.

Yes, it did cause us to lose 1 3-star qb commit, but we still have another one that hasn't de-committed. So, we currently have a 2021 4 star qb and a 3-star qb in addition to our returning 3 year starter.

And he has three years so it’s not like we traded an incoming four year guy for someone with only a year or two left.

Yep. Damarcus Smith was a flop at NT. He must have been a 4* based on his athletic ability and potential. Dude was really inaccurate and did not have much command of the game. Athletic as hell though, which had us all salivating for a while.

The downside of losing the commitment is that the new commit has a history of backing out of commitments. Maybe it sticks until he is signed, but if not we are likely stuck hoping to see if Reynolds plays better next season.
