Seventy to seven
Did anyone else catch the Arizona St vs Arizona football score. Arizona lost an in-state rivalry...

Arizona State 70
Arizona 7

As late as the 3rd quarter ASU was on pace to score 100

ASU only out-gained Arizona by 136 yds, but Arizona allowed 7 turnovers

RE: Seventy to seven
Arizona HC Sumlin has seen his yearly record drop or stay the same every year since his final year in CUSA in 2011

Houston 2011 was 12-1
A&M 2012 was 11-2
2013 was 9-4
2014, 15 and 16 was 8-5
2017 was 7-5
Arizona 2018 was 5-7
2019 was 4-8
2020 is 0-5

And after losing the in-state rivalry game last night 70-7 there may not be any more losses at Arizona.

Sumlin is a dead man walking. Look for him to be shown the door THIS week.

RE: Seventy to seven
Arizona would be smart to make the move this week even though all Pac 12 teams are supposed to play a final cross-division game next week based on division standings.

RE: Seventy to seven
I've always liked Sumlin...even when his Houston team broke our hearts 35-34 and his aTm did the same 59-57. But, I have also said he is NOT head coach material. He is better suited to be an OC. Now, maybe at a lower level school, like a CUSA school where he can be successful in the worst (or 2nd worse, depending on how the MAC does) conference, but he will never be successful at the P5 level as a head coach.
