That would be the biggest issue. Texas is pretty red---but there are some seriously blue areas inside those borders. I honestly dont know how its fixed. My feeling is perhaps relocations clean up that issue. Over time, the differences in governance between blue and red states would become more stark---those that significantly prefer one style of government over the other would move to where the governance matches their preference. So, after a decade or so---the vast majority of those with very strong preferences will be in places that have the type of governance they prefer. Those that didnt move, will be so outnumbered, they wont matter politically and will not be a danger to the majority in the states they live in.

It’s fixed by not happening. Would you be in such a hurry to chase away high-tech?

Who's chasing away high tech? Last I saw Elon Musk was moving to Texas. HP just moved their HQ to Houston. Business will go where it makes sense to go. California hasnt made sense for business in years--but its some of the prettiest country and best weather in the nation---its kinda hard to screw up that kind of advantage---but the nut jobs in charge there have found a way.

Look--I dont really want a split. But we've always been a melting pot----so we havent been able to rely on a common race to hold our nation together like some other countries can. We dont really have religion to hold us together. All we've really had for the last 75 to 100 years for cohesion was a cultural agreement to let everyone do their own thing (pursuit of happiness) along with a basic set of shared ideas and traditions that functioned to hold our society together. We dont really have those shared ideas and traditions any longer--and thats not a good thing when you have nothing else to tie your society together. Unless the right really is a silent majority that will eventually rise up and recapture the levers of culture (TV, schools, universities, etc), I think a split is probably inevitable as the two sides become more and more incompatible. 04-cheers

Quote:Liberal activist Amy Siskind fired off a dismissive tweet mocking conservative Christians and when she checked into her social media account later, she said there was a "s**tstorm" of backlash.

Siskind posted a popular meme that aimed to divide the United States into a country composed of the region with majority liberals united with Canada separated from those regions with majority conservatives.

"Proposed map. NY and CA are sick of supporting these red welfare states!" she tweeted.

The meme also referred to the latter as "Jesusland" to ridicule Christians.

Her missive was immediately met with an onslaught from those defending Christians and the political right.

Siskind deleted the tweet but screenshots were circulated by her critics.

Siskind later tweeted that she returned to her account to find a surprising amount of backlash.

"I sent a tweet in response to Limbaugh's comments on secession that was meant to be cheeky in response to the hypocrisy of the GOP not wanting to "bail out" blue states w/ Covid. It was poorly written and the meme was a bad choice," she said.

"Was offline for a few hours...and came back to the s**tstorm I had caused," she added in a second tweet.

"My apologies to anyone offended. It was just sloppy work and I take the responsibility and will be more careful in constructing what I post. I am always a work in progress, but today I failed. Please accept my apology," she added.

Many on Twitter definitely did not accept her apology.

"Hey @Amy_Siskind, You're a bigot. That seems clear from the map you posted but let me tell ya something, I'd choose Jesusland 100 out of 100 times vs. living in the United Socialist States of leftist virtue signaling that's hypocritically run by a guy who wore blackface for fun," responded director Robby Starbuck.

"So you're copying someone else's map from 2004, taking the whitest states in the Union, and admitting liberals are godless... all in one tweet," responded another social media user.

The phrase "Jesusland" also trended nationally on Twitter as thousands of people responded.

The ridicule of conservative Christians was especially egregious given the Democrats' campaign to win the U.S. Senate by winning two runoff elections in Georgia, a state with conservative and Christian leanings.

Sold....

I actually like this idea. As long as those leaving to join Canada take their portion of the national debt, based on population, with them.

In a matter of months the blue areas would resemble a third world country. How long before those in liberal cities like San Francisco start defecating in the streets?

Somebody however needs to let Amy know that many Canadians loathe liberals as much as Americans do 03-lmfao

Looks good except Arizona, Nevada, NM and Colorado should be blue. I would probably head to the southwest.

Are we kidding here? Dissolve the union? Give states complete autonomy?

Sounds like a great idea... until those idiots out in California cut a deal that gives the peace loving people of China land to build a military base in Punta Gorda.

The Canadians have supposedly been quietly conducting military exercises with the Chinese. If they want a base close to the US, I’m sure Trudeau will oblige. Like most twisted liberals he hates the United States.

There is no United Sates. That ended when vote fraud was ruled to be too scary for any court to consider—effectively making ballot stuffing legal.

Yep. A country without free and fair elections is dead.

RIP USA.

Welcome to the USSA.

That map looks phenomenal. Well keep all the oil and farmland, and help all the losers like you pack.

If it ever came to that scenario I would push that the Red states implement tough immigration rules like those in Costa Rica and only those that can vouch that they will not be a burden to the state can emigrate. If Costa can do it there's no reason the Red states can't. That would pretty much stop the immigration from lazy Socialists ruining the Red states.
