Manchin
Comes out against court packing and ending the filibuster, says he would vote against both. Just saw on TV, sure there will be Twitter action on it immediately.

He’s spineless. Saw it in both SC nominations. He’s controlled by his masters. Don’t give him a second thought. He says what he needs to stay in office.

Don’t know if you don’t follow WV politics or what, but he is as bulletproof as Byrd was. He has his seat as long as he wants, so he doesn’t have to do anything to keep it.

RE: Manchin
He never said he would vote for any of the Scotus nominees.
Manchin going on record against court packing and fillibuster boxes him in.
His state is deep red. He knows his constituents would be a hard no for both.

That’s kind of my point. Especially with ACB. Any “moderate” should have voted for her. Dem appointees always had crossover vote, but Kav and ACB were R’s only. So what was his reason for not voting for them? Has he ever voted for anything that would upset the Dems? Everyone says he’s a conservative, but I’ve seen no proof of it lately.

RE: Manchin
Frankly, I can understand why a Senator would not have voted for ACB given the timing issue just on principle, so I don’t fault him for that.

RE: Manchin
Manchin is most likely the last non-Partisan in the Senate. I give Joe credit for voting his conscience and representing his constituents over party more times than not. I have often wondered why he doesn’t just switch parties. Honestly I think he likes being a burr under the saddle of the Democratic Party.

He did vote for Kavanaugh when there were GOP senators that didn't.

RE: Manchin
Manchin is the thorn in the Democrats foot. He is the ultimate fence rider and will side with the GOP on pretty much ALL of these socialist policies. He knows the voters in WV will oust his ass if he votes with the radical left.

You are correct. I don’t know why I thought he didn’t. I take it all back. My bad.

Like I said, Joe has a seat for as long as he wants it. He does what he does not to appease his base, it’s who he is. He’s essentially a moderate republican who is a democrat because for 40-60’years everybody in WV was a democrat.

Joe would make a formidable candidate against Harris in the next 2024 primaries.

RE: Manchin
Tillis, Sullivan would put the GOP at 50. Manchin is a de facto 51 if the Dems manage to steal the 2 GA runoffs. If the GA legislature can eliminate the fraud from the general election in the runoffs, then we could be looking at 52-48 or 53-47 essentially w/ Manchin. That ends the far left kooks demands of the Biden* presidency before it ever starts, with the Repubs primed to take the house in 2022.
