Spread is currently APP -21
Money Line App (-1300) Tx State (+800)
Over/Under is 57

App is on the back end of a week that sees it playing two of the longest road trips in the SBC.

Boone-San Marcos is approx 1250 miles while last Saturday saw a Boone-Monroe trip of approx 775 miles. This very well could play a role in this game.

TxSt is really hurting on defense, really banged up, unless we have a lot of mistakes we should put up a lot of points, however they have one of best quick strike offenses in the SBC, their one path to win this game is a video game score, just keep them under 35 and we should be fine.

Basically a “Bye” week for Appy . . . . We’re better, but we ain’t better enough, and as someone else has already said, our D looking much like “The Waking Wounded.”

Early Congrats.

Right now, the TxSt defensive coordinator is out coaching our OC

They just mentioned on the radio that App State is 46 and 5 against Sun Belt competition in the last 51 games (which I think is since we joined the conference?).

That is crazy!

Good game Texas State. I feel like this is the school that HAS to be coming up big sometime in the near future (yes, the record is bad right now I get it). But y’all have some killer RBs, and I feel like if you had the right QB and maybe a better OC, nasty team.

App did what needed to be done, I think we have some things to still work on, gave up too many big plays. On to the next one though boys, 1-0

TXST needs a better QB and depth. I think they said we are down to 5 total players in the secondary. I don't see next year being much better since the QB situation will be the same.

I honestly think the QB looked solid (outside of the pick six). He was getting pressured all night but only sacked a couple times. He was shifty and had some good receivers to throw to and RBs to hand the ball off to. O line was a struggle though.

Both lines have been rough for years. This is the best it has been in a while but still thin and lack depth.

Vitt is okay. He is good for a pick or two a game and has thrown a lot of pick sixes. I think he'd be better without the constant pressure but he still takes a lot of risks with his throws. McBride looked good early in the season but has gotten worse. I think it the the constant pressure as well. Both seem desperate to make something out of nothing but in the end it leads to turnovers.

Seeing we still have zero commits for 2021, it'll probably be another year of all JUCOs and transfers. Just constantly hard to be a fan. Never thought we'd turn into the SBCs version of Western Carolina.

The TxSt OL, atleast for this game, was really solid, this was the first game, including the Marshall game. where our DL was almost completely stonewalled, couldn’t get a decent pass rush for most of the game.

There’s never a bad time to rag on the Can’t Amounts.
