I love the poll feature on these boards a little too much. Anyway, one last time: Who should stay and who should go? At the end of the week (January 17th), I'll declare the poll complete.

I voted for WVU because they're the furthest away, but I also picked them because I feel a 1-for-1 deal (2003 and 2004) is enough. They're a fine team, but I don't really care about playing them three times.

Next, I think we should negotiate to have either South Carolina, South Florida, or North Carolina State play us at the Citrus Bowl. We've already played twice at South Carolina's place, so I think they ought to play us in Orlando.

I voted to dump USF. Last thing I would want is to lose to USF in Tampa. They've been dogging us for years, so now we should dog them. I'm not sure UCF is ready for a cross-town rival yet. The smack talk out of Tampa would be unbearable should we lose to them. (But isn't that what this is all about.....?)

I'd love to sic our George O'Leary-coached team on USF. Jim Leavitt is no slouch, but O'Leary's coaching record and experience are a little more impressive. Even though USF is Big East bound, we should remain neck-and-neck with them in recruiting.

USF is a home and away deal anyway, so we get them in the Citrus Bowl in 2006 I think. Time to play the Cow Patties.

I voted to drop NC because of the distance and quality (good) of the opponet.
I want to keep WVA as I think we will be able to beat them in 2005 and they are, or will be, the team to beat in the Bigleast. So, as we beat SoFLA and WVA, we prove something about the quality of CUSA. 04-cheers

West Virginia and North Carolina State are tied for the lead at the moment with 2 votes each. South Carolina and USF each have 1 vote. I suggest keeping South Carolina and USF on the schedule and eliminating one of the two leaders in the poll by way of a tiebreaker. Should I eliminate either West Virginia or North Carolina State with a coin flip? What do you guys suggest?

Looking at the poll as of 4 p.m. EST on January 20th, West Virginia has the lead in the voting. West Virginia is eliminated. This leaves UCF's 2005 OOC schedule with road games against South Carolina, South Florida, and North Carolina State.

I'd choose to add USC to the cut list, then beg USF or NCSU to move their Citrus Bowl visit to 2005.

I agree with dropping ULL and LTU.
