Ike believes the new recruits and a couple of PWO, will start the Secondary in the right direction
Plus IKE's sources tell him we r in on two top J.C. defensive backs, both would be great but, one is almost
a lock

Now we should all be embarrassed by how both of our lines got manhandled. But since those battles are lost in the pile & not glorified with touchdowns they don’t get near the criticism.

The big difference is that our DB’s have gotten beat like a drum in every game. The OL and DL have played well in previous games, until we ran up against superior players from Cincy.

Beatin' like a drum is an understatement. They jog to ball carriers and give them love tackles when they don't get beatin' on every deep ball by two yards minimum. Worst secondary in the country. Fact!

Added for a more accuracy.

I didn't get to see the Cincy game. Have it recorded but not sure I will watch. Did Blake play? Did Carter play? Having those two out plus losing L'Andre Thomas has killed us for sure. Blake is a massively big hitter in run support and Thomas was as well. Also Tim Hart is not playing. So we have been down 4 out of 11 starters on Defense. On offense we are down our two best playmakers as well. Having said that, I agree with several posters on the fact that we are not winning the line of scrimmage in pass rushing. Our O-Line has seemed to me to be a bit suspect as well. Certainly Cincy just dominated that group for sure.

With all of the opt outs, injuries and stop and start schedule you just have to hope this year is an anomaly and that we will right the ship over the remainder of the year and going forward. Go Tigers!
