Opening line Duke -11, now Duke -10.5.

Duke hasn’t looked very good so I do like our chances here.

I think this is our best chance to get our first P5 win, but they have only played ACC schools so far so no idea if their 1-5 record is a reflection on their talent. I assume as a P5 they are more talented and Dave Cutcliffe is considered one of the best in the game. Healy and the guys really have to bring their A game but as their only P5 game of the year I think we have a great chance. Now, we'll see what Vegas thinks when the odds come out.

Line has moved to the -9.5 to -10 range. I think we've a great chance if we're at full strength. The problem is knowing who is going to be on the field in any given week.

Is this game going to happen? I thought North Carolina was on the list of states in which travellers to New Jersey had to quarantine for 14 days?

For a while, it looked like this was going to be a re-enactment of that Georgia Tech vs. Cumberland game from long ago.

But now it looks much more like an ordinary P5/G5 beat-down. We’ve all seen that movie over and over again.

It was 37-13, then Clit scored a touchdown. And now ESPN says the score is 39-19.

Touchdown, two-point conversion attempt leads to a fumble returned for two points the other way. And 37-13 becomes 39-19.

Gracias, Cyniclone. I was wondering if Duke’s defense had somehow scored a safety, but that seemed impossible.

I actually typed it out that way at first, and then thought “no that’s too harsh” and changed it to P5/G5. But now that you mention it, yeah you’re right. Sun Belt and Aack and Mtn. West have all figured out how to win some of those games. Yet here we are, as a league having a combined 3-23 record against P5 last year and this year. Just a total shitshow embarrassment and another reason to move on.
