Well there goes our path to a national championship.
I fully expected the entire NCAA football season to be cancelled after this game.

AT 2-0, with road wins over Tx State and TCU we’d have had the best record in college football and be de facto National Champions.

Time for plan B.

I agree. The p5s are going to avoid playing any one of our teams that have a legitimate chance at beating them. If TCU were playing WKU ( easy win) or FLA St (signature win) it would have been game on. The middle of the road p5s are also angling at a chance to accomplish something special.

Actually they are having a pretty serious Covid party over there. Still behind Alabama in the rankings but moving up fast.

The better P5 teams will most likely suffer an extra loss or two due to more in-conference games. That would open the door for an undefeated AAC team to actually be considered for inclusion a four-team championship. But it’ll never happen.
