The FBI’s “Potential Activity Alert” warns that almost three dozen gangs have reached the agreement, including the Vice Lords, Black P Stones and Latin Kings, according to ABC7 Chicago, which obtained a copy.

“Members of these gang factions have been actively searching for, and filming, police officers in performance of their official duties,” warns the alert sent to local law enforcement, according to the outlet.

“The purpose of which is to catch on film an officer drawing his/her weapon on any subject and the subsequent ‘shoot on-sight’ of said officer, in order to garner national media attention,” the Aug. 26 alert says.

The alert became public Monday, just a day after two Chicago officers were shot making a traffic stop early Sunday. Both are expected to survive, and there is no suggestion their shooting was connected to the pact, ABC7 stressed.

Without addressing directly the FBI alert, Chicago’s top cop, Superintendent David Brown, told a press conference that it was clear “people are seeking to do harm to cops.”

Got that right. That lovely DA in Chicago, Kim Foxx, would probably pay the gang members a bonus for their efforts.
