This. Till we prove otherwise, we are the new UCONN.07-coffee3

Not this preseason! We'll have to wait till the end of the season... whoever finishes last will be very close to being bowl eligible, unlike UConn.

Going into year 2 under Holgerson, with the same staff, same system, an QB with a with almost a full season of experience (and a full camp getting starter reps) under his belt, with a healthy deeper OL/DL, with more overall depth do to all the redshirting last year----I think its highly unlikely that Houston will be the same 4-8 team again this season. They are my darkhorse pick to win the West. Id be more confident if this were a regular year without all the Covid mess---but still---it seems near impossible that Houston will not be dramatically improved this year.

I'd be more confident in picking Houston to win the West if the AAC was actually playing with divisions this season. As of now, I do not see Houston winning the West division

lol...Good point. I completely forgot about the end of divisions.

I don't think anyone can win the West Division this year... 03-wink

I tried putting this up this morning, but I didn't have any luck trying to post from my phone...

I was looking for that gif of the Bulls bus with Willie Taggert going off the cliff, but I couldn't find it. But this one seems to be somewhat appropriate for this thread:

No. Oh no you don’t.

ECU is not wearing that badge. We either need to bring UCONN back or somebody else needs to step up. I nominate the Bulls.

IMO, Houston has to get off to a good start. If they lose to Memphis and then drop one to Tulane it may be a long season. Houston's schedule is not easy from there. However, if they can start the season 3-0 with the players buying-in and confidence in Holgorsen's (& Tune's) ability to get W's, then I think this team will be very scary. They have the talent and Tune is a good QB, we will see if they have the mindset.

Then again, you played SMU tough on the road. SMU never struggles against UConn in any sport.

Yeah, like Women's Basketball.

What would be nice is if the bottom 3 teams in the AAC could still manage to win 3 of their 4 OOC games and go 2-6 in conference. if your worst team is 1 win away from going to a bowl game that’s pretty darn good.
