Year end for the Foundation (as with many universities and related nonprofits) is 6/30. So we’re currently in FY21 since this year end is 6/30/21

What a bizarre chain of information discovery. The article states that Jim and Thomas Duff (USM alum) are providing $30M+ of the total $31.7M pledged gifts. They also are giving $26M to Ole Miss.

Wiki shows that the Duffs are primarily capital investors. Victor Mitchell was recently convicted in a kidnap and murder-for-hire plot against Thomas Duff.
