UAB AND UTSA count non-Conf game toward standings?
(Figured I’d put a post on main board, too, to float the idea of counting a non-Conf game)

So everyone who didn’t have OD(F)U on their schedule has 8 Conf games while everyone who did has 7. For the west, that means 7 games for us and UTSA vs 8 for everyone else. Who gets the advantage?

If you only have 7 games one Conf loss means bye-bye to champ game hopes. Every team playing 8 has to lose at least 2 regardless of whether you beat them h2h (6-1 = .857 whereas 7-1 = .875). If we lose 2, everyone else (except UTSA) has to lose at least 3. Unless they change tiebreakers we likely have to run the table.

*shrug* It is what it is I guess. Maybe UAB and UTSA can designate a non-Conf game as CUSA game like we did the year we beat LSU?
