"Intercollegiate athletics programs shall be conducted in a manner designed to protect and enhance the physical and educational well-being of student-athletes."
I fail to see how conducting a contact sport that necessitates travel during a pandemic without a vaccine equates to "protecting and enhancing the physical well-being of athletes."
So why can’t Karen’s like you stay home and let the rest of us live? Feel free to cower until herd immunity has been reached. You ****** ****** have tried to wreck our country.
What ever happened to a sense of community and patriotism? Looking out for their fellow American?
No evidence that herd immunity will be reached.
Alternate statement: Why can't you selfish do your part, social distance, wear a mask, so ALL of us can get back to as normal a life as possible as soon as possible
The selfish have extended the pain and are wrecking our country.
This article shows that the USA actually has had one of the most strict lockdowns in the world.

Beyond that, the "selfish" are IMO those who are in an economic position to endure an economic collapse, and thus tut-tut from above about the need for mass societal lockdowns. These are the ones who favor stopping the virus at any cost, because they will not be paying that cost.
To me, mass lockdowns are a very blunt instrument to stop a disease that kills about 1 in 300 it infects, and those that it kills are readily identifiable by certain risk factors. That suggests a far more targeted approach that involves far less collataral damage.
Mass lockdowns would be appropriate if CV was deadly in the way that, say, rabies or a black mamba bite is deadly.
Agree 100%. We may butt our heads about college football nuances, but we seem to certainly agree with how politicized by the left this whole pandemic has become.
To the point, has anyone noticed how well the S&P, NASDAQ, and DOW JONES are doing? The pandemic has destroyed Mom & Pop business, small chains and industry reliant upon in store purchases outside of Walmart, Kroger, Publix, etc. So I categorize those as the tut tut must shut crowd. They are actually gaining from the loss of others.
But there are two more groups pushing the shutdown as well.
One are the have not pseudo intellectuals who want to see everyone they envy suffer and the other group is akin to them and is comprised of people who hate our way of life and want to see it in turmoil
Everyone else wants to accept risk and get back to trying to live before they lose everything. The intolerance is being supported by those who profit and those why envy, and those who hate. It's not most people, but a vocal minority amplified by media.
But make no mistake about it. Most people want to cautiously and responsibly get back to their lives and those of us in the most affected demographic need to be the ones to take the extra precautions, IM0. We each much accept the level of risk we are willing to take, liability needs to be nullified for this pandemic, and those who want to play sports should be allowed to do so at their own risk and those who do not should be permitted without ill consequence to refrain from it. After all that is what the right of self determination is all about.
The only thing forcing us otherwise is "Liability" which if it is legally nullified with regard to the virus will give the American Public the right to choose. I would provide one caveat however, the wearing of masks and social distancing would remain as an act of responsibility to our fellow citizens.
