National Anthem: Madison Rising
Ran across this a moment ago.

Still one of my favorite versions of our National Anthem.

My career Army old man would be appalled by this. He hated when anyone messed around with the anthem. If you couldn't sing in its original arrangement then stop screwing with it.

I like it.

Given a choice, I'd swap out the "Star-Spangled Banner" for Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" as our national anthem. Our current anthem is un-singable for all but those with serious vocal training.

But if this version from Madison Rising were played regularly, I might change my mind. It is inspiring.

Never heard that before. I don’t mind others “take” on our Anthem or other patriotic songs. America the Beautiful by Ray Charles gets me every time.

I’d like to think a rendition like this could possibly penetrate some of the young hammerheads to at least listen if not embrace. I’m probably asking waaaaaay too much.

Sad how many people hate the very country they were born in and provides the freedoms to be the fools they are. We see it right here damn near everyday. Sad.
