try harder

Talking points...you mean like it was all the governors fault, but only in blue states? 03-lol

You mean where they shoved all the cases into nursing homes?

All cases? Dude, just stop.

1. The CDC guidelines at the time allowed home residents to return to their home after they were stabilized in the hospital to free up hospital space.
2. Michigan did not force any nursing home to take a covid patient. If the home took the infected patients back they needed to create a separate unit with separate staff.

Quote:Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s latest executive order mandates that nursing homes and other long-term care facilities create a unit for residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, or send them to a facility in the region that has one.

"latest order", as in, not the ORIGINAL order.

Which original order?

It's listed this way because there's been 168 of them to date! And this one is from April 15th and was the 50th one.

03-wink

So much winning, will I ever get tired of it? No. No, I don't think so. LOL

Thousands dead and millions still out of work likely due to this administrations incompetence and now many more will likely not get their medications from the postal service on time, but hey, we got a few tankers of oil.

Let's all go to Vegas for some showers!

You can't even define competence

From April 30th:

Quote:Considerations for new admissions or readmissions to the facility
Newly admitted and readmitted residents with confirmed COVID-19 who have not met criteria for discontinuation of Transmission-Based Precautions should go to the designated COVID-19 care unit.

Newly admitted and readmitted residents with COVID-19 who have met criteria for discontinuation of Transmission-Based Precautions can go to a regular unit.
If Transmission-Based Precautions have been discontinued, but the resident with COVID-19 remains symptomatic (i.e., persistent symptoms or chronic symptoms above baseline), they can be housed on a regular unit but should remain in a private room until symptoms resolve or return to baseline. These individuals should remain in their rooms to the extent possible during this time period. If they must leave their rooms, facilities should reinforce adherence to universal source control policies and social distancing [e.g., perform frequent hand hygiene, have the resident wear a cloth face covering or facemask (if tolerated) and remain at least 6 feet away from others when outside of their room].
Responding to Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nursing Homes

Pretty much is exactly what Whitmer's EO said...create a separate covid unit.

And like it or not, the CDC is the government...overseen by trump.

No, the articles says the latest order because it was the latest order she issued. 01-wingedeagle

Dude... STOP with the deflections.

The bottom line is that NY is 6% of the population and 20% of the deaths

The death rate in Michigan is 6.5%, compared to Texas at 1.9%... and really most of the rest of the country... Cali, Fl, Wi

The left wants to focus on 'cases' because they think this makes them look 'better'... but it's the DEATHS that matter. Oooh, look at Texas and all those cases there... pay no attention to the results of those infections... Funny, they said the exact opposite when Obama let 60mm people get infected by swine flu

Texas (and most of the rest of the nation) can have 3 times the current infection rate and STILL kill fewer per capita than Michigan (or NY or NJ) has.... and you STILL won't put the blame where it belongs.

Nobody is deflecting anything. I'm merely responding to ridiculous claims by others that Whitmer and others "shoved all the cases into nursing homes" which you know is hogwash.

And yes, death rates are improving in later states seeing a rise in cases. Of course, that's totally to be expected since we've learned things regarding treatment, etc.

And I've said countless times that many are to blame of both parties. The WHO, CDC, state governors, Fauci, and the trump administration, et. al. made many mistakes. But we have several posters here who continually claim that trump did nothing wrong, and no, I'm not going to sit here and let the 04-bs spew.
