How white nationalists hijacked the Hawaiian shirt

Quote:Who are these people and why are they dressed like tropical vacationers heading into battle? Mark Pitcavage, a senior research fellow at the Center of Extremism at the Anti-Defamation League based in Ohio, explained that deceptively cheery Hawaiian-style button-ups have come to signify extremists who believe that a second American civil war—or “boogaloo”—is on the horizon. Sharing rhetoric with far-right sects like white supremacists, militia groups and anti-government ideologues, these boogalooers, or “boogaloo bois,’’ have at times been a very small, but disruptive presence at overwhelmingly peaceful protests.

Harry Truman spent ~6 months of his presidency in Key West, FL. Public photographs suggest he wore a Hawaiian shirt basically every day that he was there.

I'm a pretty "woke" individual and never heard of or associated Hawaiian shirts with anything other than 50+ year old dads, frat guys, Hawaiians, and baseball fans looking for a sweep. I think we're all safe to keep rockin em

Another wholly made up "right wing threat" to justify leftist mob violence. Let's just call it Boogaloobullshit. Remember the tenet that blacks can do no wrong since they were oppressed is at the core of the BLM belief system. Therefore endless fictitious bogeymen will be needed to cover their crimes. It's as imaginary as Hillary's vast right wing conspiracy (which was another classic projection of the vast left wing conspiracy that is in our faces every damned day now!)

Just today I was watching a recorded show of Sharktank and these two people were trying to sell the millionaires on investing in their product which were identical Hawai'ian shirts for owners and their dogs. I guess both (dog and owner) can be mistaken for anarchists. LOL

That depends on whether the dog is a Doberman or a Rottweiler and whether or not the shirt comes with a hood, beret, or the death's head emblem. They could be SS Surfer Boys!
