RE: Massive protests, Corona surge
Definitely related to the protests and whatnot. In Alabama, Montgomery and Birmingham are spiking which is where all the large protests were. My local area of Auburn/Opelika was a hot spot in mid-April thanks to some rural church revivals. Our ICU was packed with patients on vents. We had 2 floors full of COVID patients. Surgeries were cancelled and the hospital was half empty.

As of the numbers published last Thursday we have zero icu vents in use and a total of 17 positive patients between the two hospitals in our system. The hospital census is at 80% or more. The ORs are all at full capacity. Remember, COVID positive doesn’t mean they’re admitted because of COVID. My hospital is testing every patient who gets admitted overnight, so they come in for chest pain, appendicitis, etc and still get tested.

Deaths at lowest they've been since end of March & have been trending that way. Hotspot Arizona had 9 deaths yesterday, Texas had 10.

It's over IMO

No it isn't. The media won't allow that.

What is this community parading for exactly? They can marry, adopt, openly live their lifestyle, and in some ways are more upwardly mobile due to their protected status. What in the hell more do they demand? Laws in this country can compel tolerance and lack of discrimination. Cool, Ok with that. But, they appear to not only demand tolerance, but support and validation. Nobody owes them that, whether for the most moral, or the most depraved of reasons.
Bridge too far. I'll obey, but that does not compel me to support their lifestyle. To ask more from God-fearing folks is asinine, and vice-versa.

I think at this point it is just for celebration of obtaining those things you listed.

We've now had half a dozen threads on this topic explaining why (including this month).

Kneeling seems appropriate.

I’m shocked they didn’t recommend replacing it with a curtsy.

That would be your preferred greeting. And did you dust off your boomer guns like you said you were going to? I'm not going to take you to my shooting club with dirty Dirty Harry pistolas.

My preferred greeting? Screw your shooting club. I’m your huckleberry, old friend. My backyard. Ten paces, one shot.

03-lmfao I'll even let you turn around at 9 paces. And who you calling old?

Study on protests thinks they may have decreased transmission, because, ironically, they caused everyone not at the protests to increase social distancing.
