Gotta be more to the story. Was this restaurant in financial trouble or something from the lockdowns? I guess it could just be a spineless owner but if I had worked to build that, I'd be damned if I let some pansy ass SJWs put me out of business over something so stupid. Want me to change the name? Nope. Want to extort money for some BLM crap? GFY. Wanna threaten me and my family? Say when. I've got plenty of ammo. Guarantee he would have seen in increase in business had he not backed down.

Every restaurant is in trouble. These people made it not worth the hassle.

When the demand reaches this level it is clearly extortion and the organization demanding it is organized crime, which it is. Somebody has to say no and be willing to back it up. And that means that millions of gutless swine on social media thinking that caving either makes them popular or protects them, need to back the enforcement of law instead of the criminal organization. This will do more to help the owners. Gutless describes everyone who has enjoyed eating there who won't stand up for the owners.
