Thanks for voting in the week 3 poll, next up is week 4 on at South Alabama. Miami beat out UAB by a single vote, which I don't think I've seen before. Sorry for the delay in between the posts, only took 1.5 months for me to post this thread! I might not make it through the full season before it actually kicks off at this rate.
With everything going on, can we just run this with the assumption that the season is going to happen as usual? Most of us probably realize that things are going to be different (or if they even happen at all) this season, but this should still be a fun way to look at how we think/thought the season will shake out.

Let me start this off by saying I'm more excited about this game than any other on the schedule. Well...I was before COVID hit anyway, but last I saw South's AD still thinks they'll have a full stadium (lol) so I'll probably still go. Even if I'm just watching it at a friend's house in Mobile.

As for the game itself, am I wrong or does South seem like it's in shambles? I know a lot of us felt good when they made this hire, but it doesn't seem like it's going well right now. I think UAB wins this one big and gives South another nice house warming party.

If we can go, we need to show up in big numbers and cheer us on to a win.

We pound them like a Mallard Duck.

If we lose this game, the season will be a disappointment.

We win bu I think it will be closer if only because of human nature. We whipped them pretty good and so our guys are going to be very confident and their guys have some pride and will want to redeem themselves.

I want to help them sell out for us. They play Grambling for the first ever game in new stadium. Then go to Florida while we are in Miami.Then back home for UAB and Troy back to back. It would be good for our Rivalry to help their attendance. What will the capacity be for the new digs and new standards for COVID-19? I read 25,000 is full capacity. We are planning on flying to Miami, renting a car and making our way to Mobile before coming home. Car rental companies usually have great rates to get the accumulation of cars out of South Florida after the summer. Sometimes as cheap as $5/day if you can find it.

Single game tickets go on sale 7/1. USA has an official ticket resellers. Ticketsmarter. On the link to Ticketsmarter the game vs UAB is the highest price ticket of their home slate. Up to $78 for corner seats. Bleacher season tickets are sold for $100. You could buy season tickets with better views of field and sell Grambling(1st ever in new stadium) and others and maybe come out ahead with free or better on UAB game.

Shouldn’t game tickets be available through UAB ticket office? That is where I plan to buy my tickets.

I don’t think USA has to provide an allotment. Auburn per Coach Pearl didn’t provide UAB an allotment.

South Alabama aint Auburn. They hit 20k once last year and that is paid not buts in seats.

We should thump them. We’ve struggled pretty regularly in these games
Under Clark, so the score might be closer than it should be. If we lose, it’s a big time disappointment.

If USA does like it seems most schools are planning to do and goes with 25% capacity, we might not get an allotment. Their stadium only holds 25,000 so they may only allow ~6-7k fans in. I’d assume their donors would get those.
