Mix BC in with other regional schools like UMass, UConn, Rutgers, Penn State, Army, and the City Series with FCS Villanova for regional flare and lower travel costs. 07-coffee3

RE: Temple AD headed to BC
I don't know if BC is a job I would want. Football and basketball success have been very limited in recent years. The last time the football team finished the season ranked was 2007, and the last time the basketball team made the tournament was 2009. I wish him well, but BC seems like a place where AD careers go to die.

I think just the opposite, there's no huge demand to win big in the revenue sports. If the current head coach (Hafley) and his future replacement can hover around the 6-8 win mark most years you are going to have a job there for a long time. There is no pressure to win at hoops.

Meh- he had only been at BC for a couple years and had not accomplished anything really. Given his pedigree at Ohio State, his personality, his age, etc. he was destined for the fast-track for a better P5 gig.

FAU's Brian White would be a fun hire by Temple. Brother of UCF's AD Danny White and son of Duke's Kevin White.

UAB's AD Mark Ingram is more likely.

Most fans don't like him but I think he has done a good job considering all of the challenges.

I'd be really frustrated about that if I was a BC alum. What's the point in being in the ACC if you're not going to attempt to compete at the highest level?

Also, didn't Addazio get fired after winning 6-7 games pretty much every year? So there must be at least some pressure on the football program to perform.

They should like him all things considered.

To be fair, wouldn't you be suspicious of the guy hired to resurrect your football program by the guy who killed your football program?

Yeah— he got 7 years out of 6-7 win seasons. If he would have won another game or two he still would be coaching there.

You are looking at this from the perspective of a die-hard fan. Many BC fans will tell you their President is only interested in collecting the checks from the ACC, not winning at a high level.
