They are in the best position to take on any XII or ACC schools that are left behind from other realignment movements which will only help them. I think the Sun Belt is getting stronger and so they could be a good place for a school to move like higher profile CUSA schools.

I think you have that backwards. Any remaining Big12 or ACC schools will back fill with AAC teams

Just as CUSA did not take on any of the three Old Big East schools left behind when the old Big East was raided, calling off the balance of the raid on the MWC remaining after the Big12 took TCU, and then the C7 split off.

Unlike Basketball, the old Big East FB as a conference "with Princes but no Kings". But it still raided those below it on the totem pole.

Q: Which 4 conferences will remain? These four (?):

Big Ten

SEC

ACC

PAC

Q: If this happens, where will the 10 Big-12 teams end up?

TX

OK

WVU

TCU

OK St.

KU

K St.

Iowa St.

TX Tech

Baylor

I don’t believe this will ever happen, but a split of the B12 to create 4x16 conferences:
1) TX, Baylor, TTU, OU, OSU and KSU to PAC
2) TCU and UK to SEC
3) ISU to BIG (joins with CO)
4) WVU to ACC (joins with ND)

New PAC has options: a) divest WSU (to get to 16) or b) add BYU for football only scheduling.

Easy peacy

All 4 of those conferences are going to exist and so will the Big 12; the Big 12 will just have some replacements from the G5 ranks.

Expect Iowa St, Kansas St, WVU, TCU, and Baylor to all still be in the Big 12.

Oklahoma and Texas, of course, control their own destiny.

TTU, Oklahoma St, and Kansas’s status all depend on what the other two do.

As far as who joins the Big 12 to fill any voids, your pool is Houston, Cincinnati, UCF, USF, and BYU.

I voted for the Big East. I'm counting the addition of UConn as part of that and I think in the next decade you could see Gonzaga being brought into the fold in some way. If that happens they are permanently in the power status and any talk of a split will be about the P6.
