This is why I love Raffy! He's not a hot dog, you never hear any scandals about him, he never makes the news about whining for more money. The guy is simply a ballplayer, and those are my favorite types of players.....the guys that just go out there and get the job done.

I'd love to be there when he hits 500!!! And he will probably do it this week. You're right, 64, he does have one of the sweetest swings I've ever seen.....ever.

Better be dusting off a spot for him in the Hall of Fame in the near future, because he is a certainty! I know MSU is proud to call him their own. 04-bow

thanks man, yep I always wear something with State on it when I go to a Rangers game, if I can get close enough down to the field next time I will see if he will sign my State SEC baseball shirt. Yep, proud to call him a Bulldog. That class was pretty special, Raffy, Clark, Jeff Brantley, Bobby Thigpen, who still holds the single season save record. They should have won it all their last year.

on a side note, I mentioned that Thigpen still holds the major league single season saves record, well if all things remain constant, I think John Smoltz will crush that this year.

I know, incredible. If anyone does break it, I don't mind it being him, what a fighter and a hell of a pitcher. 04-bow

And a good guy, too. I met him at 'Dave and Busters' in Chicago a few years ago. I guess the Braves were in town to play the Cubbies. Yes, I am a Cubbies fan, but I was in Chi-town for business....well, not exactly at that time, being at Dave and Busters, and all. 03-lol But, you get the point. Anyway, I guess he was there relaxing, too, and having a good time with some friends. I got the nerve up to go ask him for a pic together, I happened to have a little disposable camera on me at the time because we had also did some sight-seeing that day. Anyway, he was with friends and still took the time to get a shot with ole 10MAN. He was very cool about it, too. As a rule, I generally don't bother celebs like that, but after a couple of beeras, well..... 03-wink And that pic is hanging up on my wall in my sports room.

I'm working on building my own site, so when I get that completed, I'll post it here.

I saw Tom Glavine and his wife at a resort hotel I installed the POS system at on Maui. Nice looking wife. The guy that was helping me with the install is a huge Braves fan and just sat there and gawked at him whilst I gawked at her. I don't know if he went up and talked to him or not. We also saw Don Cheadle and his lady there too, you know the actor from Boogie Nights, the cowboy.

One more, baby!!! Is the game over today, or will he have anymore ABs? If not, what time are they playing tomorrow, so I'll be sure to check in. Hopefully, ESPN will do a live at-bat break-in on him or something.
