Above is an article by Briggs on the roster turnover. He says that Knapke is moving on, but W. Jackson will be back if he is allowed.

Quote:With three open scholarships, expect him to add another junior college transfer and — presuming the expected passage of a one-time transfer exception — two players currently on power conference rosters.

Hmm...

RE: MBB roster
if there is a next season. latest computer modeling showing 1.1 million deaths in US and a 15-18 month timeline to fully get it under control. that's based on measures similar to what is happening now. personally, i know people in several different states with symptoms who have been repeatedly told they cannot be tested. and 2 early studies are showing the virus is more contagious when people are pre-symptomatic than when full on sick, so most of our screening measures may be inadequate.

anyways, the roster is shaping up fine. just need to solidify the frontcourt with a transfer or get willie back. of course, should marreon go pro that would be a big setback. also, while it's great news that AJ is 100% it sounds like Acunzo is still a ?

I posted that according to those numbers, the coronavirus mortality rate was about 1/3 of the normal mortality rate in the US(2017 CDC deaths
and a US pop of about 327 million. It disappeared.

I’m no expert but if South Korea can get back to basically normal ops within a few months, I think we’ll be ok by May. Summer is coming. I’m not staying inside...

South Korea immediately instituted a massive testing program. had everyone masked up and hasn't defunded their public health programs over the past 40 years. Italy and Spain are closer to the model of the US. I mean, I hope you are right, but right now we are a nation of 300,000,000 that has no idea how pervasive the virus is and spent 3 months acting like everything was normal when it was starting to spread around the country. there is some progress on vaccines but even a breakthrough on that will take months to get it safe enough to administer. Germany is doing a great job with treating people. they have about 1/20th of the death rate of everyone else but they have a great health care system and that high level German organizing thing going on. where i live the governor just had a press conference promising to screen arrivals for the huge tourist industry "soon", and that's not even considering that carriers who don't show obvious symptoms spread the disease as much as those who have fever and a cough. we are 20 points down and trying to play catch up at this point.

While Vaccines may take considerable time to be available, existing drugs hold some promise to treat the disease. Some have already been used in special situations in terminal patients. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-ne...s-n1162021

My hope is that as people recover and (hopefully have immunity) they can be hired to work in the most dangerous patient care situations to protect doctors and nurses where there is a limited supply. Young people who are not in school could have blood tests that look for antibodies and then be enlisted in a type of youth brigade that would continue to grow as more recover. Remember, most will have few symptoms.
