So has UCONN ever lost a game in the AAC? Would be amazing to send them out with a loss. But unfortunately the disparity in womens hoops is to great to overcome this. The difference between the top tier and next tier is not close.

We pretty much have 0 chance, but how awesome would it be to deal UConn its only AAC loss in their final game and punch our ticket to the dance. Again, chances probably less than 0, though we did keep it at 10 one time this season. Maybe we can be on fire and they come out lax.

No they have not.

The most amazing part is that Geno can get those girls up for all the games not losing a game in what 6 or 7 years? I wonder if Geno feels the lack of competition has created issues with them winning a championship recently?

I don't know. But I think they play almost all the top team in the Non Con games so they do see most of them.

UConn is as good as its always been, I think the depth of talent overall in WBB is getting stronger (it still is nowhere near the men’s). UConn can’t sign them all. I doubt they will be any better playing in the BE than they are now- they still recruit the best players in the country in the AAC every year.

Inform me. The announcers said if UCF beat UC they make the dance. But if UC wins they would not?

UC and UCF had the same record in and out of conference. UC destroyed UCF at UC. UC lost by on 7 at UCF.

So UC beat UCF a second time and has no shot but UCF would have.

I get UCF may have played some stronger OOC games, but they lost them.

They had a significant better overall profile at first glance.

There is a person named Ceme I think that does the brackets from the Women's basketball. They referenced it a couple times and had UCF as the last team in the dance and they had to win that game to make it solidly in the dance. Did not hear them talk about UC's chances at the dance. But did say that Coach Heard would go anywhere and play in either the WNCAA or the WNIT. They play UCONN tonight on ESPN2 at 7.

They are 2-6 vs. RPI top 50, 3-2 vs. RPI 51-100. 15 of their wins are sub 150 RPI teams. (yea women's basketball is still RPI focused). They've had a really nice season and may be a tournament caliber team, but their resume doesn't appear to be (of course I don't follow women's basketball or those resumes very closely).

I always wondered if the AAC got schooled by UCONN when they joined the AAC Conference and got every woman's conference tourney finals to be played at home. Kind of reminded me of years ago when Louisville joined the old Metro Conference but had the agreement of being the only team in the conference to not have to share their TV monies with the rest of the teams. Good riddance to UCONN leaving. That school has cheated for years and it's unfair to the other schools.

+1

I love her excitement and also her coaching. We're lucky to have her. Let's make sure UC does all they can to keep her. She will bring great things to the woman's program if given resources and support.

UC beating UGonn WBB would be a more of a miracle than USA Hockey beating The Bernie Sanders Hockey Team!
