Antonio Ralat and Will Butler had fantastic games to finish off their Senior seasons. Ralat hit free throw after free throw as well as a big 3 pointer at a key point late in the game. Will played the power game that we have depended on this year and, unfortunately, missed last year due to his devastating injury. The offense for defense and vice-versa subbing of Antonio and Jordan were key elements in weathering the storm of ODU's attemps to pull out a win against us in the closing 3 minutes. Great game, aside from a few horrible passes from several of our guys and foul calls from the refs that were baffling.

After firing his mother, I doubt that would have been an intelligent use of the recruiting budget.

The team played really solid last night.

few observations:

> I was glad to see ODU not commit to full court press when Benjamin went out. our TO total could have been biblical.

> Benjamin was having a subpar game until his injury and Brinson/TSG/Ralat/Lovan getting the ball across half court helped us win the game and keep ODU from catching us.

> That ref crew might have done a couple of our games together and they deserve a solid grade of D-. They weren't even good at giving out makeup calls. Peter Juzenas aka the bald ref made that terrible offsetting off/def fouls with the made basket call.

>Jeff Jones is as nasty as ever and brought Corona virus to Bartow. coughing/hacking all over those white towels.

> The crowd the showed up was small but loud and proud especially down the stretch. I think I saw 2600 attendance.

>Ehsan did good subbing Brinson for Def and Ralat on offense in last 4mins. That really helped get the W.

Seeing that 2600 made me curious.

Attendance broke 3k, two times.

Vs Memphis and Rice.

As I recall, Audra Smith got a commitment from a tall post player who then followed her when she moved on to Clemson. Does that plot line ring any memory bells from our own past experience? Is she still a WBB coach in a college?

According to her bio, she left us to be the coach at Clemson. It didn’t appear to me that she was fired.

According to her bio, she left us to be the coach at Clemson. It didn’t appear to me that she was fired.

That’s correct

He signed w/Clemson out of high scholl when his mom was the WBB head coach there. When she was fired at the end of that season he transferred to ODU.

Compared to Norton, Smith didn't really do that much here.
