Yes they are good teams but if you don't stay under a ten point loss it hurts your NET rank.

Huskies only -1 @ WMU, thought it might be 2 to 3. That kind of tells the story to what the betting world thinks of NIU. Essentially that is saying the general idea is that NIU is about 3 points better than WMU (worst or 2nd worst team in MAC) on a neutral court.

The bottom line is NIU will be the #1-#5 seed and it will be the highest seeding in the last 14 years so I don’t care what the betting world thinks!

Good post MD. It wouldn't be a shocker if NIU went 1 and done in Cleveland. It looks like 4th seed (or better) is a lock.
Being selfish, I was hoping for a 5 seed and getting a home game experience a playoff atmosphere in the NIU convo.
Your ratings of NIU winning the MAC are about right.
This is/was a great season for NIU basketball.

This conference is about a 53/47 proposition in any given game. That line means that the difference from the best to worst team on a neutral court is probably 7-8 points. I think anyone that gets to Cleveland has a glimmer of hope.

Remember when CMU was 6-2 and were atop the MAC west?
They just lost their 8th in a row and now 6-10!!!
