As 94 posted, The Stoneleigh is great. I would recommend staying in Uptown if you want to do the bar thing. Canopy by Hilton is also a good option, but kinda pricey. A DART station is next to the hotel. SMU is just one stop away and you don’t have to deal with traffic.

The Highland is great and you can walk to the game

its also the hotel where craig james stashed dead hookers in the 90s

The Lumen on Highland across street from Campus is my favorite. The Highland (Hilton) on Mockingbird/Central Expressway is a block away. The Radisson on Central Expressway is a couple of long blocks away with shuttle service and cheaper than the other two. Make time for the GW Bush Presidential Library on campus, it's an interesting visit.

God that place was a dump there. Knew a few who had a party pass for access... weirdness abounded!
