RE: MBB v. ODU
We live by the 3 and die by the 3. Not really news to anybody. But I would have liked to see some more sets to get Parrish isolated. He only took 5 shots all game, which shouldn't happen when the team is struggling to make shots. He's efficient enough that you want him attacking continuously throughout the game, probably taking 8+ shots. Even if that drops his FG% from the 60s to the 50s, that's still incredibly effective for a guard.

All valid points. I got the sense Parrish was the decoy and trying to get someone like Adams or Murphy open for a 3-pointer (although Murphy didn't have a good shooting night).

I'll say it again (and also because last night's crowd was awful) - I really hope Ako Adams and Rob Martin in particular get a good Senior Day crowd tomorrow. They deserve it. We always complain about the guys who leave early and here are two four-year starters who I assume are both graduating this Spring. Tim Harrison and Addison Owen are two more guys who have been here four years (although they haven't been able to get the playing time, that doesn't negate their effort and impact they have brought to Rice). Tommy McCarthy is a 5th Senior. Hopefully the basketball/baseball DH brings out quite a bit more folks than what we saw last night.

For what it’s worth, it is the spring midterm break, so a number of kids have left town for the break. Not the only explanation, I know, but it doesn’t help.

JK should be on the hot seat.

I'm not stating an opinion on the Athletic Director. However, here are some pertinent facts:

Last 2 seasons (thus far) in the 3 major men's sports:

Football: 5-20 (.200)

Basketball: 26-33 (.441) - 2 consecutive "Pod 3" appearances

Baseball: 26-36 (.419) - worst in more than a generation
