Redacted footnotes contradict IG report
https://thefederalist.com/2020/02/10/sen...hurricane/
"Last week’s political trifecta—the Iowa caucus, the State of the Union, and President Trump’s impeachment acquittal—temporarily starved other stories of oxygen. Among those was the news that the inspector general’s report on FISA abuse was misleading and that redacted information contained in four footnotes contradicted sections of the lengthy expose on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.
Sens. Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson dropped that bombshell in a letter delivered to Attorney General William Barr that requested Barr declassify the information hidden in the redacted footnotes. While the declassified version of the Grassley-Johnson letter did not identify the four footnotes at issue, a detailed analysis of the IG report suggests the redacted information concerned Christopher Steele’s sources and potentially the FBI’s purported predication for the launch of Crossfire Hurricane. These conclusions come from a deep-dive into the IG report read in tandem with the Grassley-Johnson letter.
That letter noted that the senators had “reviewed the classified report of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) with regard to the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation, and [were] deeply concerned about certain information that remains classified.” Their concern? “That certain sections of the public version of the report are misleading because they are contradicted by relevant and probative classified information redacted in four footnotes.”
The next sentence is the key, as it establishes that the redacted information concerns not just a few details addressed in the IG report, but goes to the heart of the entire Crossfire Hurricane investigation: “This classified information is significant not only because it contradicts key statements in a section of the report, but also because it provides insight essential for an accurate evaluation of the entire investigation....”"
Author identifies the 4 likely footnotes. And suggests that it was Hillary's campaign who was working with Russian intelligence and oligarchs to spy on Trump's campaign.

RE: Redacted footnotes contradict IG report
This should be the dagger in the heart, because these footnotes likely prove that the criminals were working with Halper PRIOR to the official start of crossfire hurricane. The start, which they have testified to under oath. Meaning, these footnotes likely prove purjury by some of the bad actors.
There's a reason why they sh*t their pants over the name of Halper coming to light a couple of years back. Remeber, people's lives were in danger, and Halper may already be dead?

RE: Redacted footnotes contradict IG report
Here's the problem with this....
the avg person can read that story and still will not understand what it means. Till someone is charged, someone middle America knows the name it reads like spy novel instead of something that took place.
Arrest someone important or a few important people or this didnt happen. Till that happens this is still just the rubbings of a President that though the deep state was out to get him. I believe we are still at the very least a year away from anyone getting arrested. That is if anyone actually does get charged.
Either way it will be after the election. Trump wins 50/50 shot of charges and if he loses it goes away with in months and then its the republicans time to try impeachment or special investigator after taking over the house.

Exactly. It does come off as complicated and difficult to follow. Thats why it needs Barr to be blunt about it. Its spying and he needs to continue to call it spying. In fact, he needs to go one step further and explain that it represents a "Political conspiracy to spy on the Trump campaign by the Obama Justice Department and Intelligence Agencies". That makes it pretty clear for the average American. That way, when people start going to jail, John Q Public will understand who's been lying to them for 3 years.

Author was trying to stick to the facts. And the facts imply things, but don't come out and say them. So I agree. Barr needs to declassify the notes and come out and clearly state the situation.
Its been very clear that people in the FBI are very embarrassed and covering up or caught and covering up. There is simply no justification for any of the redacted stuff that has been "unredacted" so far. It has all been simple unclassified information that embarrassed the FBI.

RE: Redacted footnotes contradict IG report
Recall that back when Nunes was about to release his memo, the FBI violently objected to its release. (Claiming methods and such would be compromised.)
The memo was released, and there were no "methods" in the memo, or any other concern that the FBI was touting. Weird, because the FBI was given a copy to scrutinize to ensure no classified material was in it, so they knew exactly what was in (and also, what wasnt in ) the memo. The FBI simply wanted to keep the memo from coming to light, and made up a lie about why they didnt want it released. And if it didnt get released, noone would no they were lying about their reasons for not releasing it.
And then, the proganda wing of the democratic party (mainstream media) jumped in to help the FBI by saying it would compromise national security, and that Nunes was lying to undermine Mueller, so it shouldnt be released.
In the end, the FBI got busted with their pants down, Nunes was vindicated, and the propagandist wing of the democratic party ignored it, and started to prop up Schiffs response to the memo.
