Well, the good news is you'll only be there one day.

This is a good post on internet.

Those 4 make the most sense.

I have been saying over and over again that this conference tournament has been mismanaged since day one. Last year when I expressed this same thing and said I'd without a doubt go to Memphis (I bet it was a ton of fun with the arena being downtown and all the fan bases mulling around Beale Street. I was out of the country and couldn't go) but, even as a Temple season ticket holder, would never go to Ft Worth for it, some idiot here told me if I wanted to go to Memphis so bad, I could go anytime.

As if the event shouldn't be something fun that relied on fan excitement to be successful.

The conference really missed the mark not having it at the Palestra the first few years. It doesn't have the amenities, but it was a chance to put a serious stamp on the basketball identity on the league and they passed it up. Wouldn't do any good now.

Those four cities are exactly where it should be held. Nashville might be a great neutral city, but I'm not sure the league is there yet. It needs to find a way to do something innovative with the tournament, and not CUSA curtains between the games innovative.

What an embarrassment. No one will go to this.

Not even SMU fans.

The American's headquarters moved to Dallas.

They wanted this cycle to be Memphis but at the time Tubby was stinking it up so they declined. Ft Worth is throwing around alot of cash so they took it.

Depending on how the rest of the conference season goes I’m thinking of driving from Reno. I’ve never been to Ft. Worth, I’m retired and driving is way cheaper than flight and car rental.

You do remember that CUSA had their men's and women's tournament at the Dallas Cowboys Frisco training camp facilities last season...two side-by-side courts on a football field, with simultaneous games taking place and people sitting far away in the seats of the "Frisco Dome." The CUSA boards were livid over it; I can't remember a single fan who liked it... Total disaster.

Yeah but thankfully Dickies is an actual areana made to hold basketball games. Pretty nice from what people have said.

Looks pretty nice. This was taken during warm ups prior to a TCU vs USC game played in December.

I took a tour over Christmas break and it is great - long term location, absolutely not.

Having the tournament where your HQ is situated can be an advantage---especially if it is located in a large metroplex with lots of corporations. With the AAC HQ headquarters moving to the Dallas-Ft Worth area, I wouldnt be surprised if the AAC has their eye on building a strong corporate base in the region to help underwrite and support the tournament. We'll see how it goes, but this tournament is located where its driveable for several schools. In the near future, the HQ staff will be located nearby and can help build the kind of corporate relationships that can help the tournament be a financial success. Its possible this could work out well if its done right.

Yes, but people were going on about how much money the CUSA tournament got as an example to us... My point merely is that this is what the CUSA tournament looked like.

The CUSA tournament would look like that wherever its played. My point was corporate sponsors were lining up to support THAT sad event. The AAC should have a very attractive tournament in a nicer location with much better teams, much better attendance---and major national TV coverage. If CUSA was drawing gobs of corporate sponsorship money---then the AAC tournament should be drowning in it once the HQ gets there.

Certainly the building is nice, nobody ? that.
The highest pay out is good.
And believe me, I had great time in Shrieveport.
Will Ft Worth support tourn, 10,000 fans for each session would be great.
At this point, how many fans does AAC bring with them
If Ft Worth works, I got no promblem.
