I would say that's to be expected of a team missing their best player (Wiseman), a starter (DJ), and relies mostly on Freshman.

This team is gritty and resilient. And the free-throw shooting at the end was hugely clutch.

But the only way you win when you have 23 turnovers is if your opponent has about 18 or more (UConn had 20) and is somewhat inferior (UConn is actually not a bad team despite the 11-10 record but Memphis is two notches better).

Man what I wouldn't give to watch these games with my old man. He'd have been perturbed too to put it mildly.

My father is 88 and I'm blessed to still have him. He loves to watch the Tigers.

As to the "growth" element ... this team has "grown" and improved in many ways. The seeds are being planted for next year (should be a very good season). The "lack of growth" is specifically seen with the turnovers. Not much improvement in that category.

I think they have grown...

Even in the area of turnovers although the numbers don't show it.

Earlier in the season they had a free pass...There was no book on this team. They were out there and the other team had 0 scout information.

Now teams are trying to put our players in the most uncomfortable situations for that player which makes it much harder.

Precious...Keep backing off of him and dont foul. Has trouble scoring over people.
Baugh...Same thing Keep backing off of him...Force him to score over you (Don't foul)
Alo...Doesn't want to shoot a jump shot...Go under screens and stay between him and the basket.

Leave Baugh and Alo and help anytime the ball gets below the FT line.

Boogie and Lester are actually versatile enough and are actually making shots that teams have to play them honest.

Now our kids have to adjust to how they are being guarded which is extremely hard during the season.

Precious and Baugh aren't really going to develop 10ft off the dribble pullups mid season.

I believe Alo can shoot more 3's...If you are shooting 50% from the 3 point line you aint shooting enough of them.

As with any team when you have players that can be pigeon holed into doing what they are not good at it makes it very hard to run an offense. The coach has to get creative.

If they would quit playing Hot Dog Home Run ball the turnovers will go away.

With all of the mistakes and all of our flaws we also did a lot of very good things today. Our halfcourt offense looked really good, we got more good shots out of it today than we did the last 2 games. UConn can go **** themselves.

It was only satisfying in the end, most of the game was frustrating as hell.

Super frustrating, the worst passing I've ever seen.

Same. My grandmother watches every game and I watch with her as much as I can. She's 90.

We lost my Dad suddenly when he was 70.

He played for the Tigers and LOVED them.

Enjoy your Father each & every day; as they're not guaranteed.

I agree, I lost my dad suddenly at 48. Way back in 1983
