She has her views and is not afraid to speak out and step on toes. Whether she can become a leader remains to be seen.

Leaders require followers. Let us all hope and pray that most people have more sense than to follow her.

If Trump would actually enact a meaningful policy on climate change before November, I might even hold my nose and vote for him over Sanders. I actually sent the White House an email the other day with a suggestion of something they could do for the environment that wouldn't involve massive regulation in terms of businesses.

To me, a vote for Biden is similar to a Republican vote for McCain (or even Dole if you want to go back a few years). Voting for Mayor Pete (or Klobuchar but I doubt she is the nominee) is similar to a vote for Romney. I'll concede a vote for Sanders or Warren would constitute a radical shift in the party philosophy, but those are the only two left among the main 6 left I'd say that is true for (maybe Bloomberg too - I guess I need to study his platform a bit more).

Like what?

Says here Iowa voters are loving her. And I wouldn't be surprised at all she's one of the main reasons Bernie is soaring in the polls. I don't pay much attention to the other members of the Squad, but I do think she's going to continue to be a major player on the Democratic side. Sorry if you don't like her but you better get used to her.

Iowa is odd. It is a very slightly Republican leaning state, but the Democrats are much farther to the left than any other place between DC and California.

As for AOC, good chance she gets beat in the Democratic primary. She will get an opponent with money.

Thank's for the thoughtful post.

What would a "meaningful policy on climate change" entail for you? I don't expect an exhaustive answer, but what are the generalities?
