We won last week with 20 turnovers to 1 assist, shooting 1 of 7 from three.
We are 6-13 from the line and 1-12 from three, and still have a two point lead, on the road. They have 8 more three's and 9 more FT's than us, and they are out-rebounding us....and yet we are still up.
And our point guard had zero assists.
FAU attempted 29 three pointers, and made 10. They only attempted 26 two pointers, and made 9. UAB made 27 two pointers and 1 three pointer.

Nice bounce back after Thursday’s loss. Hopefully, we can keep it going next week.

Agree, these are bizarre stat lines for wins. So just imagine what a team this might have been if UAB had recruited or developed (or kept) one or two players who could also shoot the three consistently. But apparently we didnt.

RE: FAU game thread
What’s really sad is it seems like a few of these players left over the presence of a guy we eventually wound up dismissing from the program. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact the we ineffectively recruit 3 point shooters in today’s day and age. Everybody grows up wanting to be the next Steph and jacking up 3’s these days. I can understand how we can’t recruit big men effectively, as there are only so many available, but average to good shooters should not be hard to find today

Yep. Nate Darling is the missing piece on offense (has trouble defending though).

Good road win. I remember struggling at FAU with some decent Blazer teams.
We should all show up for next weeks games.

I'm pretty confident that this is Jalen next season. He keeps throwing up long 2pt shots, but they're basically at the old 3pt line. Seems to me like he just hasn't practiced the new 3pt line enough.

I agree, I think Jalen can be one. Who else do we have? Other teams are rolling out bench players who can shoot them at a high clip, and we rarely have a starter who is capable.
