The insistence on playing certain combinations is perplexing. Those are really the only things holding this team back from being on an elite level.

Maurice and Jayden just don't need to see the floor unless it's a blowout. I hate to be harsh but they just aren't very good and usually cost us more than they help.

Lomax and the stupid turnovers are really driving me nuts. If they just cut out the turnovers they were good for another 10-12 points tonight and win going away.

It's a problem, but at the same time he is the only guard that is close to a 2/1 assist/turnover ratio, and we go through entire games where nobody else has more than a couple of assists.

Facts are facts. Right now ALo is our best pg and that is a problem if we want to make any type of run. We need one of the other guards to step up big.

If Baugh was given the latitude for mistakes given Alo, he (Baugh) would have a lot more confidence at this point in the season. I know that is not the popular opinion around here but I would see Alo's role as a change of pace 6th man off the bench to get physical with a hot shooter or get fouls on a defender. His TOs are a real liability & on defense when posted up or matched on a stand up perimeter shooter.

the last handful of games (while recovering from the flu) have been pretty rough for Baugh, but he is now getting past it and I feel like we need to invest as much time as possible into grooming him for a run.

agreed...since he’s got a better handle on the ridiculous turnovers, his value doesn’t have sort of a cloud over it, if that makes sense.

I totally agree about the lineups.. players need to earn their minutes on the floor.. You just can't satisfy everybody.. Boogie Ellis needs to come out of his mental slump..

Obvious...

Now that is rich. When the offensive guy main goal is to jump into the defender and get to the FT line he should get the benefit of the doubt. Precious jumped straight up...Hands straight up...His hands didn't come down until the impact into his chest initiated by Cumberland. If Cumberland looked like he was even slightly trying to score and not just trying to get the FT line he may have got the call.

I agree. Baugh will be elite before it’s over. When Baugh and Boogie get things figured out this team is going to be very, very good.

We got a lot of ‘elite’ in the works.

It’s just so different from what we were told to accept in the recent past.

Especially when the one idiot ref stopped a 2 on 1 fast break when he whistled the technical foul. He should have waited until the play was over and then T'd the guy up. Officials should never T someone up in a situation where like that. He may have been the worst ref I've seen this year. And I've seen some bad ones this year.

I'm not too upset about the effort turnovers. It's the driving into the lane with nowhere to go TO's. It's the random turn and pitch the ball out of bounds or over the other guy's head TO's that I have an issue with. Just the absolutely crazy, lazy ones.

I am with you...Heck I am ok with the drive into the lane with nowhere to go turnovers.

It is the high risk passes and silly decisions that drive me crazy. If you are trying to create something I am cool with it. It is the mental lapses that drive me crazy.

Agree about the turnovers. If we can cut out the turnovers that are not directly effected by the defense we will be in good shape!

After watching Houston manhandle Wichita I think we'd better bring our A game. If we can put together 40 minutes of the best of our game against Cindy we'll be fine. We simply cannot turn the ball over 20 times against Houston if they're on like they were tonight. If we can keep it below 14 we'll probably be OK.

Never seen that before. He blew the whistle while Alo was laying in an and-1. We ended up getting 4 points off that play, but he wiped off 3 points and we could have ended with an empty possession. And yes, we fouled Cumberland, but we also had 3 clean blocks that were whistled as fouls.
