Bump now that all 6 'major' polls are in although I really think the guy at Collegiate Baseball likes to troll ECU for some reason. There's certainly a legit chance that ECU may not finish the season in the top 25 this year but the team deserves the preseason recognition given what the program does year in and year out as depicted by all 5 of the other polls.

Wonder how a baseball only add would work. Based on the new ESPN deal, it's technically a revenue sport now. I'd rather play WSU twice than cut a check to some scrub teams from out west.

Unless it's Dallas Baptist maybe. They'd be worth a share equal to whatever basketball is worth. So like...$4.79?

SMU needs a donor to step up and buy Dallas Baptist. Then the Mustangs would have a solid baseball team.

I consider the AAC a "power baseball league." But when folks ask me how I define "power" when I rate college baseball programs and conferences, I, admittedly, struggle a bit.

I suppose there are various ways to define "power league" in baseball. Most folks don't use the terms because, quite frankly, there is simply not as much interest in college baseball compared to college football and hoops. But the sport is gaining traction and seems to have a very solid future.

I can see the "three bids or more each year" argument.
