This was in The Atlanta paper today in Jeff Schultz's column.
"Thanks to alert BTL reader Jim Collins for pointing out that Georgia's Kedric Golston isn't the only college athlete having his former rings or jerseys sold on eBay. Here's another fine mess for the NCAA to look into:
Clemson junior free safety Charles Harper's 2002 Mazda Tangerine Bowl ring were sold recently on the Web site. Bidding opened on April 24 at $300 and closed on April 29 for $750. The ring (item No. 272502157 is billed as "Jumbo bling bling for the NCAA sports collector or Clemson University fan." Harper, like Golston, was not identified on eBay. But an enlargement of a side view of the ring showed the engraving of "Harper" and his uniform number, "34.""
Why in the hell would you want to buy something that would remind you of the a$$ whooping you recieved???? BTW, Texas TEch just scored again. :bang: :bang:

If Charles Harper is the guy I'm thinking about, he hasn't played and might not. Even if he did, why would he want to remember that game. As is, he didn't help them get there or lose it. But he is one of the strongest guys you'll ever see pound for pound.
