I don’t ever want to hear another person say Southern Miss can compete in the AAC because that was proven very wrong today. It was a beatdown and it was never even close. They might win a few games in that G4 conference but this is big boy football.

UCF losing on the Philly special to Pitt.
SMU going down to FAU.

The first is just a wtf one when Temple was putting together a good season.
The last two meant we miss out on five top 25 teams. Hard to argue we aren't a power conference, because that's 1/5th of the polls.

Good win Wave, 4-3 will be the second best bowl record, we finished the season with only two losses to G4, it's likely we finish with a better massey ranking than the ACC, and with four teams ranked. Very good year for the AAC.

Tulane scored 30 in a row. Congrats.

Way to turn it around Tulane. When I turned to the Memphis BB game, you looked awful. Wow, great come back. Congrats!

Congrats on winning but, If USM isn't fit to be in the AAC, then how can this be a good much less great win for the conference. Seriously, you were supposed to win and you did. Good job on beating a team you were supposed to beat.

Not so much a great win as it is an important win. The win allowed the AAC to finish with a winning bowl record for the year.

So a 17 point win against a CUSA team is much less impressive than getting your head bashed in by another CUSA team in a bowl on your home field?

A team that went 3-5 in the AAC beat a team that went 5-3 in CUSA.
That's one datapoint among the AAC going 8-1 overall vs CUSA, in bowls 2-1, and vs Bowl Eligible CUSA teams 5-1.

CUSA and other G4 fans say we're all on the same level but it just isn't true.
